Well the install cost me a grand including parts, but not the equipment though. The amp you see there is a an alpine V12 turned upside down with the bottom plate taken off and replaced w/a piece of blue plexiglass. That square on the right has a piece of plexi looking down on a raised up rockford fosgate logo in the vinyl.

Then for the other speakers I have two sets of kicker components for a total of (4) 6" and (4) 1" tweeters. In the rear deck lid it came w/ 6x9's so he made a piece of board the same size as a 6x9 and mounted the 6" and the 1" on the board and mounted it like a 6x9.

I can take a picture with the black cover off, but I can't take out the whole thing. It'd be too much of a pain in the ass. It's great because the original honda trunk mat covers the whole thing up so i can still use my trunk, just nothing too heavy because I've already broken a couple of those plexi bars

Oh, and about the "does it hit hard" question, the answer is a firmative YES!

i thought about getting an install like yours from sound systems. ive heard they do great work. of course i need to save up some more money. but have you ever gotten a flat tire? im assuming you took out the spare to make room for the sub enclosure.

Yeah I've had a couple flats but that's the thing w/having 40 series tires, they're pretty much always flat so even when they really are you can still pretty much drive on them to a place to get it fixed. But yeah, the whole trunk well is a molded fiberglass box filled w/insulation. Here's some pics of my deck and changer that I just took.

Aint glare a bitch

6disc changer mounted in the center console

I love playing connect the dots

I believe the deck is a KEH-P8600 and the EQ is 9200 something. They're pretty old models actually. I know they don't sell that deck anymore but they still sell the lower model of that EQ, you might still be able to get the higher one that I have if you look hard enough. Back when I got my stuff the deck and the EQ were each about $700 and the changer was about $300. I GOT IT ALL FOR $700!!!!!!! Brand new, I had a good hookup at Pioneer at the time. And yes, that is a 6disc changer in the console

About wanting a ported box, you need to see the best enclosure for YOUR speakers. Each sub has it's own space requirement and box type that it will perform best in. I thought in the kickpanel speaker things that there was a spot for a tweeter also? I don't see that on yours? Does it get in the way on the drivers side? I see you have an auto so prob not. Do you think it would get in the way on a manual??

well the speakers he had in his box were my old speakers I had and i sold them to him. so i'm not worried about that I just want to find a good deal on a ported box.
the kickpanels do have a spot for the tweaters but i didnt feel like shelling out the money for a component system cuz I had some speakers laying around the house. the kickpanels might get in the way alittle but with a manual the pedals are rearanged and these kick panels are Q-logic so they more than likely took that into consideration when they made them. I dont think there should be any problems.
