Ive edited the previous pic to highlight what is to be removed in order to fit the transkit. Im making it as user friendly as poss to fit them, unlike many transkits, its just a case of following and cutting along panel lines to remove the unwanted parts then the replacements will slot in place.

By the way im still looking for someone else to test the 180sx kit out on the fujimi version. I have one person sorted already and need one more, any takers??? The kit would be free!!!

Sorry to bring up an old thread but, you say those rims on the ZX were scratch built?!?!?!? Cause they look awesome! One question, are you going to mold those rims in resin?

If not, do you know any company that produce something similar to those rims?

That wheel was the result of some experimentation one evening and isnt very good. I think my skills have progressed even further since that was done so i may give it another bash.

I had always intended to have a collection of rims but obviously it hasn't happened. At the time when the SAS idea was in its early stages, Fujimi sold their 18" tyres seperately so my original idea was to have resin rims to fit these. It seems they don't do this anymore so that idea is screwed That now means the tyres will have to be made also, which is beyond my scratchbuilding skills and i don't intend to rip off the Fuj or Aos items. However, not so long ago I discovered a mold/casting/tooling/modelmaking company who could do this sort of stuff, produce masters and make many copies in a rubber like material.

I've not progressed any further on this but i will endeavour to get something sorted this year, afterall, one of my new year resolutions is to give myself a kick up the arse!
