Well if you mean is it normal for a BOV to rip that apart...I have never seen it, but I guess its logical, it is releasing highly pressurized air at times.

nice car mann. we only got a couple of those rolling around where i live, and theyre all driven by girls who have no idea what their doing. anyway nice car.... just take the chapstick out before you take pictures next time....lol

lol my bad man i will take the chapstick out next time. Ya Igovert500 i thought about the samething, its just logical. What should i do just rip thing off the heat shiled??? is that cool or should i just leave it??

I'd leave it in, or you run the risk of maybe damaging the paint on the bottom of your hood (from heat)....I think I read about someone here or somewhere else doing that a few years back...

No offense, but this is just another reason why I'm not fond of open-loop BOVs.

I would say try and reposition it, but I don't know if that would/could cause damage to something else. I'd start a new thread and try and get the attention of the other guys with open-loop BOVs and get thier opinions/experiences.
