Those brakes look more realistic than my 1:1's.

overdue updates:

Chasis is completed and interior work is on its way...

Chasis is the bare race prep chasis without the underbody diffusers and cladding. Its detailed using a veriety of metallizer paints, photoetched bits and pieces and electrical/brake lines and heat stained exhaust, of course.

its a little clean for a race car, but it is a pre-race production car.. it hasn't seen the asphalt yet.

The engine snuggles nicely inside the cradle

Interior work started... electrical junction boxes, carbon fiber of course, hard lines and "cool" box, switches, buttons and the like... references are hard to find

metal heat shielding, wire idetification markings, etc.

Photoetched pedals

Carbon fiber rear package shelf

The seat, minor modification, aftermarket racing harness, photoetched seat supports and rails

Comments please?

Re: C-Klasse DTM *stripped*..somewhat detailed.

Holy Jesus! That is insane detail! I'd like to know what you used for the big red tube (don't know what it's called). Great detail man, this should be a stunner when it's finished.

Re: C-Klasse DTM *stripped*..somewhat detailed.

Actually its not a CLK, its a C class. The red "tube" is a kit part detailed with paint, and washed.

More progress. Body painted and polished. Tamiya gloss aluminum.

Front air dam finished. took approximately a week, a bottle of decal solvent and a full page of carbon fiber decals.

Some wiring started...

Cabron fiber door post pillars

rear package shelf, carbon fiber, covered by tripple gloss

interior cage. mock up right now, roll cage not painted yet.

close up of the front air damm.
