funniest damn thing i've seen lol

I love it. Arent preludes FWD, and wont that be REALLY complicated shuving that 5.0 into a little prelude and all?

anyhow i'd rather just put in a 4.6 Quad cam motor in, get about 400 hp with some mods out of it, sounds bad ass too.

that isn't a bad idea, but have you ever seen a 4.6 DOHC sitting complete on the groud, out of the car? they're HUGE. a 302 with stock valve covers is about 2/3 the size of one. i'm not saying it can't be done, but it is a lot more work. he's in for enough work as it is, such as raising a driveshaft/transmission tunnel, interior mods, installing rear axle pickup points, fabbing up a k-member and motor mount pads, radiator clearance, shifter location... the list goes on.

i've seen pictures of latemodel Miatas which were powered by Ford 302s. the clearance between teh water pump pulley and the radiator is less than an inch. i believe they had to use a pusher cooling fan. and cut the strut towers. but they're light, and they're fast.

Well i dont plan to "raise a driveshaft/transmission tunnel" i plan to cut it out an fab up a whole new pan cover that will probably be my new armrest. I plan to take out as much of the front drivetrain as i can, and maybe even cut as much out. Most used tools: BFH and Sawzaw. The radiator i can get a real slim one and if i need more clearance its easy to drill the welds out and move the front end out more. Interior mods??? How about dynamat and some carpet with some nice buckets? Motor mounting sounds like a huge deal, but with looking at it and measuring, it seems pretty easy compared to some other cars. even the strut towers are out of the way.
