nooooooo get the exhaust. just think of the deep smooth exaust sound as music, then you wont need cd player nor tape player.

That's me!!! I sometimes just turn off the music and enjoy the deep exhaust sound.

Yeah, I even do this sometimes with my intake, but If I'm just talking about sound, I prefer to have CDs instead of exhaust. I appriciate all of your opinions, they all made pretty good sense. I havn't completely decided what to do yet, but I'm leaning toward CD changer.

And btw- CivSiGuy, I'm still waiting for that "report" on the WS exhaust, it just might sway me!

Oooorrrr instead of listening to the exaust as music, you can record a deep loud muffler and burn it and play that on your CD-Changer... then you don't need the exaust!

I think the humor is found only in frightened AF newbies despirately seeking approval from their seasoned AF Enthusiast Demi-God level 723 big brothers (and sisters!)

And I would like to take this moment to apologize for my atrocious spelling of exHaust =)

And whatever happened to PH?? I leave for a couple months, come back, and it's gone with nothing but a 'PH Forum' link which lead me here! (not that here isn't a wonderful place!)

Hey, you know what exhaust I am looking at, so I'll tell ya what CD changer catches my eye: SONY Xplod CD changer with ESP. only $219 with fast change CD changer. I have an in though with a gal who works at the store that sells it for this price. I think I could get it for much less. What do you all think about this CD changer?

all i gotta say is i bought a 300$ kenwood cd changer and i used it a total of like 5 times. its such a pain in the ass to get out and load the damn thing i just bought an indash cd player (this was in my civic with an am/fm radio). now its a busted up piece of shit thats barely bolted into the trunk thats been smashed by hauling things and frankly i dont give a shit because its the most stupid thing i have purchased probably, ok well its a tie for the dumbest thing next to light bulbs.

I have the Alpine 6 CD Changer, and I love it - theft deterant, cuz the headunit's stock, so nothing to catch peoples eye, and I mounted it under the passenger seat, so taking the case out and putting it back in is never a problem. Hard to see down there unless you're sitting on the trunk i guess. My parents got one too, which they mounted in the trunk, and all I can say to that, is screw that man... that, indeed, was a royal pain. So if you get it, get it mounted under the seat.

hey yeah, I was thinking about where to get it mounted. The trunk does seem like a pain in the ass. If I get it mounted under the passenger seat, will the seat still be able to move back and forth? Or will the seat need to be kept in one position while its under there? Cuz if the seat can't move, I'll put it under the driver side seat cuz I never move that one. I just move the passenger one to let folks in.

lol, WS buddys

anywho, I am against the head unit cuz then I can't play my tapes, and some of them I still like. Also I don't want to be fiddling around with CD's while I'm driving, so this Sony Xplod is good. It can hold 10 CDs at a time. There's no where I go that I could listen to 10 CD's before I got back! So its cool with me. The 11 lbs or so it adds doesn't bother me, I don't drive a hotrod, I drive an econocar. Like someone said earlier, If I was that worried about weight, I'd take a Lumm before I got in the car every day. (Besides, I already bought me a stereo, I don't wanna buy another one) but thanks for the suggestion.

I think I'm gonna get the CD changer, I've yet to hear a strong argument for the exhaust, so, I think I'll wait to get it. And the CD changer is pretty cheap, even cheaper at Curcuit City, and after all my stuff, I may be getting it dirt cheap. So I'll have my grandma buy me some better speakers (I'm blingin on 20 Watts right now )

Absolutely no problems whatsoever moving the seat back and forth. It's like it's not even there.
