Re: Help me decide if I should keep my graphics on the car!!!!!!!!

Lose the graphics. All of them. A "subtle" look never included graphics. The bomex lip, nice drop with the coilovers, nice wheels, tint job and your paint job minus the graphics = perfect subtle car.

Compaqpunch, your ride does get rougher but your car's handling increases.

Those are the exact graphics from the RX-7 in the first F&F. I don't really like them on the car, cuz number 1, there not original, and number 2 i dont think they really look good, expecially that one on the roof, which i think is there to be under a roof scoop. Also, about the VR-4 badge, imo, thats just disrespectful to people who have a vr-4, i also think its disrespectful for people with a vr-4 to take it off.
but this is just my 2 cents, you gotta do what you like.

Re: Help me decide if I should keep my graphics on the car!!!!!!!!

I would rather be driving around in a car with bloches of primer paint all over the doors and hood than have those graphics.... No offense or anything but thats just how I feel.

Your other goals sound great but man with those graphics you are begging for attention and often not the good kind.

My car came with the badging off cept for the twin turbo on the sail panels, I like the way it looks and I think I might take off the hood emblem (its kinda faded). Taking badges off is ok... Unless your trying to hide the fact that you drive a crappy car like a geo or somthing. Its ok for the big boys to take off their name tags though.

Yea that's definitely not a subtle look. In some cases less is more, and buddy if you're looking to turn heads here's some news. 3KGT's have a natural ability to do that Our cars look straight up exotic man. And hey i thought you had a vr4 ... no offense, but you should take off that vr4 badge and save yourself the embarassment. You WILL be meeting other knowledgeable 3kgters i assure you. What if you meet a vr4er and the person asks to look under your hood? Heck come to think of it, they wouldn't even need to look under the hood ... Hey your gonna luv that Bomex front lip. I have one Becareful not to drop your car too low though because some of those bomex lips drag really low, especially mine. I have no idea what the stock specs are, but my car is about 8'' off the ground. My bomex front lip makes me about 2'' off the ground and, i've already cracked it completely in half twice bc of some stupid pot holes. So try and have some money on the side for repairs. Good Luck with everything bro and congrats on the car!

Oh and i agree with thourun. When i get my vr4 i'm gonna shave all the badging. I guess i just like the element of surprise, and hey i wouldan't wanna scare away any civics

Shaving badging is perfectly fine. I have ZERO badging on my car and you wouldnt beleive some of the questions I get about what people think it is.

Same here LoL! What's the most common one let me guess ...

Is it Turbo?

And soooo many people ask me "What type of car is that"? lol

Those are my 2 most common questions

Re: Re: Re: Help me decide if I should keep my graphics on the car!!!!!!!!

The best and probably most funny one happened at a Sheetz one night. For those who might not know Sheetz is a 24 gas station/conveniece store that OWNZZ JOO!

Anyway I stopped to get gas and a drink. After I filled up I was walking up to the building and this older biker guy walks up to me. He was like, "Excuse me. But is that a new Mustang?" I was dying laughing on the inside. Not the first time it was called a Stang. I explained to him what it was and he walked around it like 4 or 5 times complimenting different aspects about the car. Made me feel good.

I have had it called anthing from a Viper to a Mustang to an Eclipse to a WTF is that?

LoL!

I've just mostly gotten that "wtf is that"? Just happened about 2weeks ago actually. I was at a gas station with my windows rolled down and some kid that worked there walked up to the passenger and said "Hey what type of car is that?" And i'm like "3000gt", to which he responded "It's hot man." to which i said Thx! Another time was this hot chic at a diner. I parked my car RIGHT in front of the diner window maybe purposely and 1 of the waitresses was like *Smile is that your car?!* "Yes it is!" *What type of car is that?* "3kgt!" and this type of stuff happens very very often. It's situations like those that make me feel proud and good about having a 3kgt.

Re: Help me decide if I should keep my graphics on the car!!!!!!!!

I remember thinking "WTF is that!" the first time I saw the local 3S guys (quite a few in my town on 3SI).

Stealthee, do you have the tripple diamond indentation from the mitsu logo on your front bumper or did it come smooth? I think I'll take mine off, maybe tomorrow. Should I just use a heat gun with a gentle touch? Would naptha (lighter fluid) hurt my paint at all? Its good for taking off sticky glue residue.
