Re: Re: Re: Re: which amp to use?

I almost got two 12" fosgate power series 1200 watts in a subzero box for 140 bucks. then the guy backed out when i came with the money, it pissed me off. now i have to go with cheap subs because i don't have enough money.

Every last one of us here have done it with 0 problems. I paid over $1,000 for my amp and sub and received both within a week. They both arrived in tact. I might add they were both top notch stuff I would NEVER find locally.

Re: which amp to use?

You dont need a ton of power to get alot of bass i had 2 12" infinity perfects i got on ebay 150 shipped last year and a profile ca600 i got for 100 shipped built a box and custom floor board for like 40 and the subs had clean bass but they still really hard for only 150 rms. I put a ca 1200 and we did a test on how far i would drive till they stopped hearing bass it was like 1.5 miles that was 300 rms. The best you listed so far is the rf but i would never buy subs from a pawn shop you dont know how the previous owner treated them, how much power and so on.

If you want a good sounding system your going to have to spend a few extra bucks in the long run you would be happier with the sound. I would buy it piece by piece headunit panasonic cq-dfx983u, subs, amp, then i got some mb quart 6x9's and infinity kappa 4x6 plates. It was well worth the money. I got all this a year back and spent like 750 for everything. Being that your cars a hatch will make a big difference to i went from a sedan to blazer and i heard bass i didnt know the subs had. Spend some extra money save it up and you can get a bitchin system.

They'd be plenty less than $200 shipped. AMAZING subs for the price...period.

Because, obviously you have NOT experienced anything else the CarAudio subwoofer world has to offer. IF they are at a pawn shop, I HIGHLY doubt it's anything from the power series. Only thing i'd ever touch would be RF Power Amps...and that's if they were given to me b/c I'm not paying what they charge.

AND the ATLAS 15 is also ANOTHER excellent option! It'll perform amazing. But if it were me, I'd get two 12" 187's and 600 watts RMS and drop them in 4cubes NET @34hz and you'll be AMAZED!!!! peace

Re: which amp to use?

Its very doubtful that anything from a pawn shop is new. You shouldnt have any problems on ebay or any other internet sites for that matter for audio. Like NG said punch series is shit, i wouldnt suggest the power series either unless you want to be fucked over on the price. If you really want to play it safe go through crutchfield or sounddomain with a price match, you will pay more than you want but if you want a good system your going to have to spend the extra money.
