Thanks for the complements, guys!!!!

dampachi- Yeah, that's my worn out drag radials. I didn't have them on my normal track air pressure(low) because I was cruising around on them. I also didn't heat them up hardly any. Here lately I've been having a hard time hooking them anywhere. It seems like the rubber compound is starting to get "hard", and its really like running on a street tire now. When I air them down for the track and heat them up pretty good, I can usually get a decent launch. I've decided to go with a true slick for the next set I get, since I'm going to be shooting for mid/low 11s. Later on this summer, I'm going to buy two 17x10 wheels(same style as what I run everyday) and throw on a set of nitto street slicks for playing around on the street.

I thought you guys would like the pull on him. I wish I would have been in track trim when we ran(I had my box in the back with my tools, jack, and I had both of my street tires/wheels in the back). I could have gotten a little better pull on him, but I was just glad to get some street footage for you guys.

As the weather slowly improves, I'll get more and more action to post up. I'll be sure to have a different camara man that my buddy that taped from the start. I have no idea what happened to him at the end. I ask him if he was on crack.

Re: Just a little race with an lt1 on the street

Slowprocess, how do you like your electric cutouts?? And do you have one or two??

I know I am going to run cutouts at each header, but I can't decide if I wanna spend the money for electric. I won't have them open except for track, dyno, shows, and cruises. Street driving they will be closed.

I really love the electric cutouts!!!! I have two of them right behind the headers. It's really been a fun/effective mod to have, both at the track and messing around with people. They really seem to help my truck out in the higher rpms, but the loss of backpressure hurts me alittle in the low end torque. My main reason for purchasing the electrics was due to the ride height I'm at now. There is no way I'm able to get under my truck now with it this low to remove the covers manually, so I had to go electric.
