Also, IF the bx1500d was producing 1500rms ofr the pair (which i doubt it is) that's be too much power for the L5's in my opinion. Gotta watch on clipping, and over excursion. BUT, this type of thing...has happened to other drivers as well... NG

Hifonics is a little overrated. But they do put out good amounts of solid reliable power that's pretty clean. In an average car the bx1500d will do about 1300-1400 watts.

I've seen almost 1200 with 14.4 from a BX1500 with minimal clipping. but 1300? i dunno. with moderate clipping maybe. im praying for a clean 1500 from a BX1800 with 14.4v. but we will have to wait and see. Insurance sucks, gonna take a chunk out of my XXX funds next month. and im not even driving yet.

if im right someone got a bx1500d benched at 13.8 and it did like 1290 or sumthin. Bx1800's will do 1600ish at 13.8 the 1800 and 2200 are a little better then the lower bx lines..... if your runnin a stable 14.4 then you should be close to get rated.... ahh fuck it clip a lil bit!!
