I've always loved the V's. The Les Pauls kick ass, but I can get a V for less, plus, as the saying goes, chicks dig guitars shaped like V's.

Re: Calling Guitar Players!

The V's are pretty pimp, i remember back in like 7th grade i was at one of those cheesey 7th grade birthday parties at someones parents house and some kid was playin an acoustic guitar like struggling through some new poppy crap song and I picked up a flying V (it was the chicks whos birthday it was brothers) and started playin "little wing" and the kid didnt pick up his acoustic for the rest of the night and as an added bonus i started dating a really hot chick afterwards, thats why i do it, for the chicks!

sorry just had to put my favorite moment of glory down since i saw the V

Re: Calling Guitar Players!

I play with a platnum series B.C. Rich Mockingbird with custom made humbuckers through a Line 6 amp! Works excellent for fast heavy metal riffs and soft riffs like nirvana's "rape me" song

Re: Calling Guitar Players!

Mein two babies:

XCort 900, 24x frets, EMG 81 - bridge, EMG SA - Mid, EMG 89-R neck (total 900 bucks of metal), currently out of play for standing up ATM, the button fell off, and the guitar shop lost it AND FUCKING BLAMED ME and still they charged me for a job they didn't even fucking fix. Assholes.

ESP-LTD. 2x EMG-HZ's, 22XJ frets, silver/metallic finish. EMG's are stock, I put the EMG's in on the Cort.

*ed*10seconds later*

My amp is fucked, the circuit board overheated mid August last year, and I haven't had an amp since, I should be getting on in two months, getting a stacker!!!!!! WOO!! The amp I had is a Fender Roc1000 pro, it went pretty loud, only 1x12" speaker, small, two channel+clean, reverb, I used stocker overdrive channels, my distortion pedal couldn't cut it in gigs.

Me in the blue and on my CORT, and my two babies in ACTION!! Me and Peirre are playing MASTER OF PUPPETS (Full length 8 minute version) I did lead guitar, he played rhythm and sung, our drummmer obviously played drums, and we got a mate on bass, as our bassist refused to learn it, and our singer sucks.

Re: Calling Guitar Players!

I don't know about charvel, but kramer made some sweet as metal guitars (for metal music, not made of metal LoL). They were popular in the Japanese Metal Community as well with the headstock reveresed, other brands came out with similar designs.

I've played a Kramer, worst guitar ever, but the strings were rusted, the neck was chiped, had sever fret buzz and the pickups were fucked completely. Not surprising for a 15 year old guitar that was never looked after.

Re: Calling Guitar Players!

tip for all beginers; if you're going to be playing electric avoid affects pedals like the plaque. Pedals are O.K, but don't get multi-affect pedals.

The Digitech Metal Master is a good pedal, I almost bought it at one point..

Jimi Hendrix - The Wind Cries Mary
Weezer - Only in Dreams (Especially the last 3-4 minutes)
Pink Floyd - Have a Cigar
Ozzy (Randy really) - Crazy Train
Deftones - Elite (Simple yet satisfying)

That's all i can think of. So let's hear it, what do you like to play?
I agree, those are some great ones. That Deftones song is awesome!
