Couldnt be bothered. My low 11 second car is just as dirty, and it doesn't slow me down
![]() In other news, I think I've finally got the hang of this double clutching. And I dont mean TF&F style. Didn't grind 3rd all day. The trick is to get rpms a little higher than I normally would, 4000 something, do the clutch action quickly, but put in it gear slowly. I guess the theory would be that at higher rpm, the rpm difference between gears is larger. So it falls during the shift, but not so much that its below where it would be in third at the current wheel speed (or intermediate shaft rpm). And putting it in gear slowly gives the synchro more time to accelerate/decelerate the input shaft and get a match (to the intermediate shaft). Sure beats going to 5k in 2nd and shifting straight to 4th anyway
