Re: Sup'in up a GS..is it worth it?

Also you could do a transmission swap with a neon rt I new a guy that did that and he had most of the stuff everyone has listed so far and he could beat a stock gst but if it had anything done to it. the 420a doesn't really compare to the 4g63 unless you get a turbo for it..

I'll make it really easy for you....Go to the page I posted www.boosthead.com. Next choose the car / engine in the drop down list near the top. Mitsubishi -> Eclipse -> 420A Then choose "Eaton SC Kits"

There you will find an "authentic" belt driven supercharger.

Your stock 420A engine produces approx. 150 HP. Bolt on one of our track-tested, Dyno-proven Eaton supercharger kits, and you will gain 65 HP @ 5.5 psi of boost. If you add an upgraded exhaust and headers, you will see another 15-25 HP increase. That's 80+ flywheel HP of instant boost, an absolute must for auto trans cars. Of course, the Eaton works great on 5-speeds, too. And if you're really serious about performance, you can make up to 400 HP with a built engine and ported blower.

But the instant boost and huge gains aren't the only factors that make our Eaton superchargers a superior product. Our kits are incredibly reliable, averaging 150,000 miles between overhauls. They require less maintenance. And the installation is simple. Our Eaton kit includes all the essential parts for a complete installation. No engine mods are necessary, and a safe 6 psi pulley is standard. Will not clear some aftermarket strut tower braces (contact us to determine compatability).

Our Eaton superchargers are fully race-ported, resulting in additional free hp and lower discharge temperatures. The Eaton is backed by a 1-year unlimited mileage warranty, and a life expectancy for the Eaton is 150,000 miles. The kit comes with a fully race-ported Eaton 62 CID supercharger, custom CNC 6016-T6 billett aluminum intake manifold adapters, drive pulley set, crank pulley, idler and tensioner brackets, throttle body adapter (we suggest upgrading to the GM V6 supercharged throttle body included in our full kit), FMU fuel controller, and boost gauge. Allow for 8-10 hrs installation time.

Re: Sup'in up a GS..is it worth it?

Dude I have a gsx I sold my rs. I dont have it any more. I was referring to sphyder's question about electric superchargers which as we both know are not worth it. You have a supercharger for 420a, thats great tell that to sphyder the guy who was askin about um. To tell you the truth I really dont care. Peace
