I know it doesn't look like much but it is progress, so here is the underside. I haven't painted the engine because it is all molded in one piece and i can't get into those little gaps. It would just look a big mess.

Even more progress. After getting the wheels sorted i jus tcouldn't resist putting it all together to see how it was getting on. I have lowered the back end a tiny bit, but not touched the front. Maybe it could do with a little more lowering, but i think it looks quite alright.
Also something i didn't mention before was that i cut out the grill at the front and i'm going to put some mesh in instead.

that thing is coming along nicely. one comment though is i think you need to lower the ride height a bit, it's just too high IMO. over all it looks promising!

Looks good! I'd have to agree though, lower it a bit. Not necessarily slammed to the ground, but just a bit lower would be nice.

Re: Re: Progress: Honda CRX Si

Nice! The Interior is lovely! That Testors chrome looks suprisingly good! Kit doesn't seem to be THAT bad, you should've seen my Fujimi S14 As of the ride height, i'd say SLAMMMMMMMMMMMM it! So low that the wheel wells rub BTW: thats what i use as a reference for my ride height (wheel well) If it touches the wheel well then the height is perfect for me Another way to make this car seem lower with these wheels, is to try on the Revell Tires on it. I did it with my set of RP-F1's and check out how they came out. Ofcourse i had to chop the tires up. The tire to the left of the wheels is the Fujimi tire that was provided.

Re: Progress: Honda CRX Si

Thanks for the suggestion ImolaEK. I decided to use the RP-F1 wheels with the tyres that came in the CR-X kit. I think they are a bit more sporty.
I prefer not to slam my rides, because if you do that you have to have tow-in in a big way or have them too far into the body. I am taking them as close to the wheel arch as i dare while still being in the wheel arch. If you know what i mean.

Sweet! I see what you mean. It really is true. The only way to have your wheels stick out a bit and really low is with some negative camber. I like how the CRX tyres look on it I just tried the ITR stock tires on these wheels and they also looked pretty darn good! Thumbsup for stock tyres Hope to see more! Have you decided the color yet?
