I have a Remus exhaust on my P10. It was essentially as quiet as stock. It was deeper at WOT, but not louder. This was true for about 3-5K miles. After 5K miles, it got somewhat louder, but still not as loud as ANY of the aftermarket exhausts I've heard on naturally aspirated cars. I've since added another good 45K miles on the Remus exhaust and it has held up fine. No signs of rust or deterioration and it has not gotten louder after the intial 3-5K miles.

I went with the Remus because, IMO, the Greddy exhaust for the P10 does not look that good. It has a round muffler can instead of an oval one like most cars and it also has a long, shinny metal hanger that is welded to the bottom of the muffler. IMO, this made the $500 exhaust system look pretty lame. Check out the Greddy before you buy it. I'm not the only one who was turned off by the way it looks.

I got it about 3 1/2 years ago from a friend who works at CEC. I paid $256 for it. It is the rear muffler section only. Picture a muffler w/ the squarish Remus tip and a pipe extending out of the other end for about 3' or so.

yeah i kno......anyways its gonna be a little while before i get an exhaust...I was thinking that it would make a whole lot more sense to get a JWT pop charger, header and exhaust the same time so that I can get it installed in one shot..badabing, is that wise? also does the ECU then have to be reprogrammed?

The Remus is indeed a wonderful muffler. Just because it's a rear section only, don't be turned off by it. As Glen said, it's deeper, but not louder.

I've driven a P10 with the Remus and love it. I am going to look into a universal Remus in 2.5" for my DET equipped P10.

Hey Glen, glad to see you here.

How tough would it be to get a mid-pipe fabbed up, to go between the cat and the rear section by Remus? I'm guessing not too tough, or that expensive either.... However, would you guys recommend a resonator, or is the remus section quiet enough to go without a resonator. I'm thinking go with a resonator, even if just a smaller one, but what's your suggestion? I don't care that much about the volume (within reason of course), but i do want to keep a nice, deep tone. Suggestions?

Thanks

Hey Glen, glad to see you here.
I have not seen or heard a P10 with the Remus on it.. but have seen/heard the Remus on other cars..

I agree with Glen's comments on the Greddy for the P10.. if you haven't seen it, check it out BEFORE you buy! It's UGLY! And expensive.

It (the Greddy) hangs down too far.. and I don't like the way they did the hangers. It is quiet I will admit that.. though don't know how it would compare with the Remus?

I'm planning on getting a Remus aswell! Have you seen the Carbon Fiber options from them? And the nice Stainless pieces? Real nice stuff.
I'm also considering the oval tip too?

Also, Glen.. are you the Glen that went in on the GC group deal? White G20t with Black leather interior? If so, then I know you.. cool to see yeah.
And of course King Turd.. always a pleasure! ; -)

What's happening Kyle, Geo, Justin and all the other SE-R mailing list G20 owners! It's good to see a place that's G20-centric. Of course, this site seems somewhat more P11 oriented. Too bad because we all know that the best G20s are the "classic" P10s with the fully independent suspensions instead of those P11s with that log rear suspension, right ;o) (Just kidding P11 owners!)

Yes Kyle, I am the same Glen you met before. You know, the guy with the "yuppie" looking bike rack on the roof.

Oh, and Kyle, you *have* seen and heard the Remus on a P10. It was on my car when we met. The reason you don't remember what it sounded like is because it's very quiet and similar to the stock muffer. Or, maybe the intake roar of all the other G20s there drowned out the sound of my muffler ;o)

ACK! I've driven Jay Stewart's P10 with the GReddy and Adam Koo's P10 with the Remus. Absolutely no comparison. The GReddy is too loud for me, but I'm an old fart. :jump: The Remus, OTOH, is quiet. It's just a little louder than stock (not much) and has a really nice, much improved tone.

Unless you are into the loud exhaust thing, I think the Remus is the best choice of any aftermarket muffler I've ever heard.

I haven't seen them yet. When I get ready, I will for sure look at all the options Remus offers. I'm looking forward to it.

Cool Glen!! Good to see.. well read from you! ; -)
Yeah I remember your "yuppie-ness"! ;-)

Also, I didn't realize your muffler was a remus! Sweet.. got a picture? Also.. email me privately.. I'm going to be over in LA next month with our 3 week old new baby boy..

I can introduce you to my new son, and you can show me what I'll be spending more $$ on soon. ;-)

Didn't your muffler have dual tips?

I have a Nakayam Racing Sports muffler with 4.5" tip, it is a straight pass through. It was 185$ from Indy Import Performance http://www.indyimport.com/ . I had it installed and custom cat back tubing run for another 110$. It is loud but not impractically loud and the stereo easily masks it. It is polished stainless and has gotten quiter since I got it. It is very deep and throaty sounding, not raspy.
