BTW, Mic, I'm still waiting for the Perfect Formula Manual from HLJ. I hope I get it soon so I can send you those pics I promised

Your model is looking great. I hope I can achieve that with my own

Regards,
Pedro.
Thank you Pedro.

It is okay as I am still doing the engine and I will leave the front section later on. Dont worry and we have plenty of time for modeling.

Yes, normally it would take 10-14 days for delivery after receiving the shipping confirmation from HLJ.

Beautiful example of the 191, After I finish my MP4/4, I'm going to get that and the Tyrrell P34, but instead to make it race spec, it'd be in raw carbon fiber to dupliacate the launch version.

In Progress: Jordan 191

Hello all

Some more progress on the driver seat:

The orginal seat-belt had been grinded and filled by putty and then sanded out until it gives a smooth surface.

After that, applying base coat for further checking

Finally, the driver seat was sprayed with Modelors interior coat.

Here is the top view of the cockpit.

Thank you for visiting

Happy modelling

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

Mic, a couple of questions;

1.
What is this Modelers Interior Coat you mentioned?

2.
What did you use to grind out the moulded seatbelts?

Cheers,
M

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

Hello Mark

Thank you for the questions

1. The interior coat would make surface rough and it is manufactured by Modelers which could be find in HLJ and there are 4 colours: Tan, Grey, Red and Blue.

2. Basically, it is accomplished by using mini rotary tools.

Hope this help

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

That interior coat looks interesting, similar to SMS Fauxfabric, but they won't ship outside of the continental US. Thanks for the tip!
Keep up the good work on the Jordan!

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

Mic,

On the last pic above this post, you've shown the exhaust pipes. It looks like you've put in some weld seams. Is this correct?

I'm experimenting with this on the Leyton House I'm currently building, and would love some tips and pics on what you've done.

Yes, I have added some weld seams on the exhaust pipes.

I have cut some narrow strips from tamiya yellow-tape and coiled them around the exhaust pipes. After that, the exhaust pipes were sprayed with tamiya primer and wait for a minute, then I used the cutter to create weldseam pattern onto the tape. Hope this help

Happy modeling

Hello all

Here is the update on the Jordon 191

Display Panel - After CF the panel and putting the decal, I have added a thin theme of transparency to simulate the display cover.

The original electric box was removed and replaced by the donated part and the other way round require some sratch-built.

Enjoy and Happy modeling

Hey man, very nice car. I can find only one mistake, that it's Schumi's car just kidding.

I never heard of that Interior coat. You said you got it from HLJ. I searched their site, but couldn't find it.

Do you know who makes it and where ik can find it on HLJ.com

Thx dude.
