...Further progress ...
The damper for the front wheel found its place in the left frame side. ![]() Both frame halves are waiting for the engine now. ![]() Micha Last edited by sportracer02; 11-23-2007 at 10:28 AM. |

Re: Progress: Bimota Tesi “Custom”
Wow, it's exciting to see this much work go into a bike for once. I am also interested in how much scratch work, modification and whatnot you are doing, as I am rather unfamiliar with bikes.

Hi willmo, up to now I didn´t scratchbuild much. Just a little bit of detailling. I must fix the engine in the frame now, maybe add the rear wheel and then real scratchbuilding starts by making new pipes for the exhaust system, as there will be only one muffler under the seat. Parallel I then can work at fuelcell / seat / front cowling to bring it in a line. I keep you informed !!!!!!!! Micha |

The engine is nearly finished, some details (like cf-decal on clutch housing) are added later ...

This is the battery, smaller than in the kit, detailled with a belt to fix it. It will be glued to the frame later.

Re: Progress: Bimota Tesi “Custom”
Very nice work Micha, a bit of smoke on that CF covers could look better, but than again it is maybe only because of flash.
I like it a lot. |

Here 2 more pics of frame and motor, taken at daylight
![]() ![]() Little detail that you can see at many 1:1 Ducatis: The oilfilter is fixed to prevent it from turning ![]() As I leave body panels away, the cooler was too big. It was shortened (the material cut away are the 2 stripes on the top of the foto). The pipes bringing the water to the cooler had to be changed, too. ![]() Micha Last edited by sportracer02; 11-23-2007 at 10:29 AM. |
