You can make your car run better with ajustments but you can only ajust a few things. There are some real easy mods to do. Like an intake. All it really is is taking out your old intake and putting in the new one. A few clamps.

last year in an import tuner magazine, they dynoed a car before and after installation of decals. I can't remember the month, but I remember it. It was in the power pages section. They dynoed a car stock. Then they had vinyl decals applied to the sides of the car. Then, they dynoed it again and it gained 1/2 Horsepower. So, they set the record straight, decals really do give you more HP!

anyway, to help the kid out...

if your not doing engine mods because your doing a swap and dont want to waste the money, first thing to do would be to get some good rims shod with some good tires. sticky ass tires= faster car.

then, strip off everything that isnt needed to run the car. lose the AC compressor, heater core, cruise control, back seats, carpet, noise dampening, insulation, etc etc etc.

start buying carbon fiber body parts, like hood, hatch, door panels, fenders, etc.

if you're only going to swap the engine, and plan on keeping the tranny (not a good idea but anyway) get an LSD.

you can also slap on a cat back exhaust. most popular engine swaps dont affect exhaust placement beyond the cat.

you might hate driving it if its a daily driver. it doesnt add that much time to your 1/4. i mean you take off like what 50lbs. fuck go on a diet if you want to lose 50lbs. take a shit before you go to the track.

and it's true, daily driving is gonna suck. Adding a passenger with you would add what like at least 150 pounds? So u gutted all that convenient useful functional stuff for nothing :O

i Will b doing engine mods later on but i just wanna get other parts of the car right 1st

im planning on basically buying the car, doing suspension mods and stripping it and what ever else i could do - possibly a smaller battery- and whilst im doing all of that i would have alrdy purchased a b16a and then slowly modify out of the car and then when the car is rdy ill put the b16a in

would u reccommend that ??

and also and engine conversion will b a lil more expensive so i figure if i buy a suspension system first i can get more gains out of the car even though im still gonna put a b16a in it later on

i live in australia so finding honda engines is kinda hard....
