Mine

I just checked mine after running a bottle of Amsoil P.I. through my 99 Blazer LS 4.3L 4x4. I am getting 19+ miles per gallon or 300+ miles per tank.

This truck has 156,000 miles on it, does not burn any oil, runs like a top and is purely stock...but well maintained. That's with petroleum based oil, cleaned out EGR valve, and a steady freeway driving....typically 70+ miles per day on the freeway.....I'd say that's great for a 4350 pound truck...

Scam, does nothing on a vortec.

Your heads already swirl the air hence the VORTEC name.

On topic, I get:

Summer:

18 city / 24highway

Winter

15 city / 19 highway

125,000 miles on engine

I have virtually the same numbers, my economy is definetely not as high in the cold. Hauling stuff makes a big difference too (like my 200lb moped and speakerbox).

I get no better than 21 mpg on the highway at about 70 mph. I do a mixed city highway commute of 30 miles each way every day for work and get a consistent 18-19 mpg, unless it is real cold.

I would have thought that the pure highway would have been better by a few -- o well.

I get about 280 Per Tank, I don't let it completely get Empty, Cuz I don't Want the Fuel Injectors to get clogged up with the shit that's at the bottom of the tank, but 280 no matter if I'm in the City or Highway. Okay, maybe sometimes I'll get 265-280 in the City. I Don't Tow, or Handle Luggage. I carry family around a lot though. Brother in Wheelchair and mom. Wheelchair is light, and he's starting to use crutches now, so the wheelchair weight is non-existant at the moment.

I bought the spiral max for my stock intake to see if they really worked and I am getting two miles more per gallon, but the horsepower wasn't much different, and torque increased a little.
I get 18 in town 21 on the highway, and now I am getting ready to put on a new muffler and we will see how that goes.

i must agree. if you know the common laws of auto physics, then it only makes sense that if you add more air, it makes your vehicle's computer just automatically add more fuel, and you SHOULD get more power, but you WILL FOR SURE lose your economy. i noticed a immediate drop in my MPG from 32 to 28 when i added a cold air intake on my cavalier. and thats even when i tried my hardest to get the best mpg. and a little word of advice for you people with stick shifts for better MPG, you should not shift to soon, especially in any vehicle without efi or newer. the stress you add on your car to move it at rpms too low causes more fuel to burn then when the momentum of your cars engine is helping push it along at higher rpms. now im not saying more than 3500rpms on any vehicle, unless its dohc then maybe 4000rpms, but for sure dont shift until your rpms reach 3000. just try it and youll be amazed at your fuel economy. let your vehicles lower gears get you better gas mileage. and if you dont belive me, dont you notice yourself pushing the gas harder and farther to accellerate your vehicle just as fast in 5th gear as you would 3rd or 4th. your just wasting fuel. some vehicles now, especially the newest ones, have electronic thorottle control which will not care how far you push the pedal, itll do what it can do at the given time.
