Oneso: The Honda dealer isn't always more expensive. Last year someone hit my fender while I was waiting to get out of my apartments. Well the dealership was $900 the other shop I went to was $1100. (I bought rims with that and my tails). Thursday I have to take it to the adjuster and wouldn't you guess they are at a Honda dealership so lets hope that the overcharge this time.
Jayfidizz: The ins co. doesn't always give you the money. The same incident with the fender they wrote the check out to myself and the bodyshop so I signed the check over to the bodyshop and he bought the tails and rims from his friend who owned a performance shop. Slowandfurious: I would consider doing that if my car was a 5 speed and if I had bought it new. But you see I bought it brand new in 1995 and I know all the maintenance that has been done to that engine even though I have 96k miles on it. It still has a way to go so for now I will work on looks and suspension then when the engine starts giving me problems (by that time my wife will be out of college and we will have double the income) so then is when I will start working on the engine. I do plan on keeping this car forever unless it gets stolen or totaled. (I know this is not much of a comparison, but my aunts husband owns a restored 1957 Chevy that his dad bought brand new off the showroom floor.) Now maybe the Civic won't ever be a classic but back then those were the cars that people were fixing up so the Civic and the likes could become the next 64 1/2 Mustang classic car. My whole point to that was that I will rather wait till I need something to replace it cuz at this time I don't have the money to just replace stuff cuz I feel like it. know what I mean? |

Hey guys in 1995 I was 16 and not thinking about performance plus I couldn't drive stick at the time. In 95 I was more into sound so I had a system. Now I have just grown to attached to the car. When my wife and I are done paying for the CR-V we will get a sports car that is stick or semi stick. Just depends what we like in 3 years.
