i have 18x7 w/ 42mm offset and i think you could go as far as 40mm offset before your wheel would stick out of the fender (at 40mm it would be flush)

i think i'll be getting my 19x7.5's w/ 43mm offset soon

wait wait, don't forget that your tires are wider than the wheels. your wheel might not stick out, but your tire sidewall will. if you are planning to use those wheels, get narrow tires like 195 width so that you can pull the sidewall towards the center of the wheel.

my 45mm 17x7's with 215/45's are probably the farthest I could accept going outward. the rear can probably accept 7.5".

well, at the end, if the tires do stick out, you can always put on those fender trimmings that will give you another 8mm to play.

lol..... i have 18x7 w/ 42mm offset and 225/40/18!! btw this is lowered almost 2 inches

a 215 tire is not the max you can go and neither is 45mm... almost everyone here who has wheels on a p11 has about 43mm or 42mm offset.... 40mm would put you flush w/ the fenders

w/ my 225's i could still go w/ another 2 mm offset (go to 40mm) and have the wheels not stick out

they dont make any 195/*/19's so thats not an option...

there is one 215/35/19 but that is a microscopic sidewall...

if i get the 19x7.5's i will go with 225/35/19's

bboogie- lol... it's your car, you do what you want with it. I'm just pointing out my preferences for a FF car... doesn't have any meaning if you have different preferences and your mind is already set. go for it dude. we'll keep cheering for ya. hey, if you screw it up, just go back to your 18's. no biggie.

for 19" wheels, u gotta get the 225 tires...actually, i am thinking about running on 225s to see if i can fit them...got Streets of Willow coming up on the 7th, i need some more grip!!
with the proper offset, u can fit in 225s...but you do have to get different offset for the front and the rear but that's no big deal.
however i am sticking with my 17s since my car is no show...and not that much go hehe

ken, i was just trying to clear it up because saying that a 215 tire w/ 45mm offset is the max you can do, just isnt true...

luke, i have 225's w/ +42mm front and back. the front is about 1/4 inch away from being flush with the outside of the fender. and the back is still tucked... its a few millimeters away from the inside of the rear fenders (about a quarter to half an inch of my rear tire is tucked).

bboogie- dude, read my post... I was saying that 215 on a 45mm is what I (me) would do or accept as max. didn't make any false statement saying that 215 with 45 offset was the absolute physical max you can do on the P11. just to make sure we understand each other...I hate being accused of lying when I'm not. I'm outta here.

ken, from your original post...

call me crazy, but that looks like you're trying to state a fact...

it's ok, i still love ya! lol...

blkghst... basically offset is measured from the center of the wheel... our cars have positive offset, as do 90% of cars...

anyway.. the lower the number is.. the closer to the fender you will be and vice versa... lets say a wheel had 0 offset.. it would be completely centered over the face of your rotor...

you may want to check out http://www.discounttiredirect.com/helpWheelOffsets.html for more info and pics...

i dont think a 45mm offset will work w/ a 7.5" wide wheel... at least on the front anyway..

since you are at 45mm you are pushing the inside of the wheel up against the suspension... i think it will end up rubbing on it...

i think you would be better off w/ a 42 or 43mm so that you move the wheel further away from the suspension and closer to the outside of your car..
