no it will be safely contained behind hardened steel plates. I would like to have kids some day and there is no way im going to shoot myself

well there prolly was a short in it because they DID replace the fuse.

Ya I saw that on mithbusters to and they had to run a battery gage size wire for the bullet to go off and it never went though their dummy.

Yes, but the dummy was likely alot tougher than the average scrotum. I think the bullet would have enough velocity to do some damage there -- one of my brothers hit a .22 bullet with a hammer once (yes we were young then!) and it flew up and zinged him good on the non-hammer hand.
