The thing i don't understand is why spend all that money boosting a little AWD 4-cylinder, when someone needs to build an AWD boosted V-8 that would be bada$$. But yeah those evo's are fast a kid on my dorm floor had one, he totaled it so yeah you can wreck'em, but yeah for 4-cylinders they're pretty ballz fast.
the new cadillac sts is a v8 w/ a awd option. if i had the money i'd boost that shit, and have a crazy animal of a car

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

It's not about displacement or MPG. It's just the advances they are trying to make with 4 bangers. The 320 HP model is just as good as the 400 HP model and gets 24 mpg. Something to keep in mind. Of course you can pull more out of a V-8 , that doesn't even need to be mention , everyone knows it. That wasn't the point. It's going to be a lethal street car that will wipe a lot of v-8's off the asphalt. That's all. Not saying it's better or worse. They raced it agaist a 840 HP viper too and the viper lost. Theres also a GT-R Skyline coming out with a 6 banger pushing 500 HP lightly modded. With a potential of 1100 HP. But it's not about "Ooo..my v-8 can get more power than your 4 cylinder." It's just about the technology and the tuning engineers are doing. I thought the 4-banger being fully tuned keeps up with the lambo. Not many other 4 cylinder cars I know of can keep up with a V-12..wait..NONE.

u may be in the wrong forum w/ this stuff... go to the mitsu forum and u'll impress some1 lol. i'm just playin w/ ya man, but c'mon lingdenfelter vettes run 0-60 in 3.1 and 1/4 in the 10's. and i've seen those vettes outlaunch awd cars on street tires (i didn't believe it till i saw it...) but those vettes are beasts and they've been available since i think '99 or maybe '00 so those 4-banger guys need to keep up... btw that vette gets practically 20mpg i heard...

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

the technology is nothing new or exciting.. Import auto makers have been doing it for years.. To get a small engine with 200hp or more per litre, or 100hp per cylinder isnt that hard anymore.. in fact, its fairly common..
Some automakers (like Mitso) are just using the technology a little more to compete in the sport compact scene

A lot of you guys are sayin stuff like this?? Like, its at 400hp, so it cant go any higher.. Doesnt make much sence to me.. there is ALWAYS room for improvement, as long as you have the $$.. there are little civic hatch's, echos, focus's etc. runnin consistant 7 and 8 second runs.. Im just curious as to How much better you can get your LT1 or LS1

Re: Camaro people , be aware and on your toes...

The fact that so many people think that hp/litre is important bothers me. Its just a number. Its about as maddening as people not understanding that torque is just as important as horsepower.
