Re: Bumper Fitment

if it was for a crx......wouldnt the part that goes under the fender by the corner light start overlapping the fender?

Re: Bumper Fitment

it's not for a crx....I'm 100% sure of this. Its for the hatch...just got a bad bumper i guess.
You can tell it's for a hatch by the way it bolts up in the center.
CRX bumpers dont bult up in the center like that...they bolt to the reinforcement bar.

Re: Bumper Fitment

Heat works for getting it to flex a little bit, but nothing like what you are trying to do.

bambam, hatches bolt up just like the 4dr's do. All hatch bumpers I've ever seen/sold don't have that lip on the top, it's all just flat. Even the Buddy Club hatch bumper I have on my car is a hatch and it doesn't have that lip. All CRX bumpers I've seen have that filler lip. I'm pretty sure it's for a CRX. For a bumper that nicely made, I doubt he just got a "bad" bumper. That bumper is extremely clean and well made.

sure its not the tabs on the side that the stock bumper screws onto thats holding it back? thats what it looks like to me, but then again, pics in the daylight would be better too. also in the pic above, the bumper is too high, is it the way u were holding it? or is it warped?

Re: Bumper Fitment

you need to pull up from the bottom corner and work the top corner over the plastic piece that the side screws go into in order for it to fit. had the same trouble when puttin my kit on. youll prolly need a second person helping you to keep the center lined up. using something to heat up the edges helps too to get it to be a little more pliable.

you get one side lined up as good as you can get it and the other side wont get lined up...

the side that gets lined up still has bad gaps where the fender meets the bumper...and the holes on the side where the corner lights are the tab doesn't even come close enough to the car so you can start to bolt it on

it seems kind of that the tabs in the middle on each end are to far back and not allowing(spelling) it to go all the way back
