Yep, you NEED a new clutch!
Check your power belts for the noise and yes its a timing chain, they usually last a VERY VERY long time! I doubt you need any work there... Do a full tuneup (unless its been done recently) and get to learn your 240 inside & out! They are usually VERY reliable when taken care of. Good luck/skill! |

ok you guys are off the subject.
get a new clucth and be sure to check you clutch master and slave cylinder(master is located on the firewall on the drivers side. slave in on the undercarage on the passenger side of the transmission. you cant miss it.)make sure they are not leaking because your fork will not fully engage and disengage. as for the noise i am pretty sure its not you timing chain because that would be a metalic noise and a kit for that runs about $295.00. try tightening all of your belt tensioners, that was my problem. good luck |

thank ya, i just put in the new PS hose and it works good. now on to the clutch and belts
ps. the hose was a complete bitch to get off/put on |
