i think eibach has a pro spring kit that wil lower u 1 inch, but like u said, if u want to go below 1 inch u'd have to do more than just springs, to each his own but i think that more than 1 inch wouldn't look good, i think its just too much...

Re: PICS-Check Me Out-got Some Bling*bling*!!!
do you think with the eibach pro kit (1") that i could just do springs and shocks, or do i even need to replace the shocks, and i am also wondering if this will mess up the camber.

My first car was a 91 rs and I did a eibach drop. Well I had Les Scwabs do it. It handled real nice.

I put in the Eibach Pro spring kit along with new Bilstein (yellow/blue) shocks two summers ago - the Pro kit is a 1.3" drop all around and right now the clearance is just right. I personally wouldn't go any lower. I'm bound to lose another inch of clearance when I weld in boxed sub frame connectors so that will cut it even closer. But at 1" your cars rear-end geometry isn't messed up that much - not enough to warrant going out and buying rear control arm relocation brackets or anything.
You can throw on just the new springs if you'd like, but if your olde Z is still on its original shocks I'd be ready for problems... I'm glad I had decided to buy the new shocks along with my springs, because once off the car we found that the stock front right shock was completely dead, and the fluid that leaked out over the years had totally rotted out the metal/rubber shock mount atop the wheel well. So not only did my Z have to spend the night on a hoist at my buddy's dealership while the part came in, but it would have been stuck even longer if I didn't have those new shocks ready and paid for... The new setup looks good and feels somewhat better going into turns, but for drag racing it’s no different. If anything the car has a little more trouble launching than it did before - because its really more of a track setup as opposed to a strip setup. When I can finally afford to I’m going to buy HAL QA1 adjustable coilovers for all corners. I'll see if I can post some better picks of the wheel wells - may not seem that much lower but its actually a huge difference. LOL I can remember when my Z's wheels wells were swelled up like that! BTW, is that a MagnaFlow you're running? |

nice rims, for a second i thought they were spinners and was gonna have to shake my head and walk away, but those are nice, they are gonna look even better with the suspension drop.

Re: PICS-Check Me Out-got Some Bling*bling*!!!
i am running flowmaster.

wow, that Flowmaster looks awesome (and I know exactly how it must sound!). I've been pricing a new cat back to replace my exhaust which now is just an 80 series Flowmaster muffler. Haven't looked at a whole Flowmaster system, but me thinks I should...
Is that the American Thunder system? (those tips 3" or 3.5"?) |

Thats what I thought the A.T. would be - cause the actual muffler outlets are 2.5" or something... those pipes that LT1MAN has got look big (why I thought it might have been a 3.5" Magnaflow system). I like the Corsa catback with 4" tips but nothing sounds like the Flowmaster!

Re: PICS-Check Me Out-got Some Bling*bling*!!!
damn right on that one, flowmaster is the only muffler i'd have, and no i dont have the whole system, i have 80 series flowmaster with 3"x24" tips, and a hedman hi-flow cat that is now gutted, and shorty hedders with a cold air intake. it definately sucks and blows good, and she sounds sweet when she yells!

So both you and 89IROC got the tips from Flowmaster then? Thats cool - I'm really surprised how big they look, and they're positioned perfectly under your car.
So is the whole tip/pipe 3" wide (at both ends?) - I thought the two 80 series versions both had dual 2.5" outlets, just one had a 2.5" inlet (like mine) and the other had a 3" inlet... either way, looks badass! |

Re: PICS-Check Me Out-got Some Bling*bling*!!!
im pretty sure the pipe that acutally comes out of the muffler is 2.5" and the 3" is welded onto it way up by the curve in the pipes

Re: PICS-Check Me Out-got Some Bling*bling*!!!
A friend of mine had the same tips on his 95 fire chicken. I decided to the these just so I would not copy him but I still like mine alot.
Hope you guys like them too.
