Thanks tom3, I'll look into it. (I saw a reference to this TSB at AllData,but I haven't purchased their service, and I didn't start having the gauge problems until 2001)

As for tank capacity question for SlammedClipse, it's 18 gallons/US

Tanks on a 1997 are 19-20 gallons.

I stand corrected.
My owner's manual says it's 19 gallons (72L for our Canadian friends)
