Keep up the great work.
I am not jealous of any talent as none as been applied to these pics, its just a high resolution pic from any old website and converted to grayscale, this involves no talent whatsoever.

Ever took such a picture with ya own camera? Guess not else you'd know how hard it is.

take this for example. 3 weeks observing the light during sunset. about 20 pictures messing around with the exposure time and lens aperture. Finaly sitting infront of my crapy scaner 'till I got the scaner settings the way that it looked similar to the actual picture and reality.

Q.. nice work there!

Q, take your photographs to www.3dcommune.com and post in the photography section. At least there, people know of the concept of composition. There's a few excelent photographers there, and the atmosphere as a whole is great.

Nice website.

Hope to see you there.

i can deal with the pics you took off the sunset, thats good, but if someone just takes a pic off another site, changes it to grayscale, then calls it their own, im not impressed.

He put the pics up to be viewed, he can accept some negative feedback.

Q, i checked out your site and you have a lot of nice pics on there, what kind of camera are you using? and at what resolution?

I didnt mean to start any kind of war on this thread here, but ive seen many high res pics that are very similiar to the ones you have of the porsches, so i thought you just took them and grayscaled them in PS.

The photos you see on the site were taken with either a
Sony DSC70
or a Sony F707

DSC70 has max res of 2480 x 1536
F707 has max res of 2500 x something [cant remember]

I usually just use the 1280 setting

Wow, those are really beautiful shots. These are the best pictures I've seen taken with a digi cam. (I prefer SLR myself). There is barely a trace of artifacts.

I suspects it's like 4.x MP right?

I started with SLR's
have not got to scanning many for the site yet.

DSC 70 was 3.3
F707 is 5.0

An example of artifacts is when you save a JPG file at a really low setting. You notice how it's all chunky and blurry, etc. Well alot of digital pictures (and videos) have this problem too--albeit it not as extreme. It generally shows up as a little blurriness around the edges of objects and color separation at those edges. There's also a trademark bluriness (overall) in digital pictures. They look like someone took a snapshot of MPEG video or something. You get the idea. But like I said, it's barely noticeable. I guess with a 5.0 Mpx camera, these problems are even less of an issue.
