Re: newb here - intro and a few ka24de ?'s

also check out ka-t.org. They love the KA series and one guy named rick on that site is up to 533.5 RWHP. Crazy stuff.

I think if the entire rotating assembly is balanced well along with different cams, the KA would have a very decent redline. Most of the power extracing for such a redline is going to be in the valvetrain. There are also secondary butterflies that can be removed. www.240sx.org has a write up on the subject.
About the s13 exaust cams, you should check out www.hotimportperformance.com/engineinternals.htm.

And since they are closed temporarily for site reconstruction check out www.boostdesigns.com for their cams which they say "Custom made for boost designs. Billet KA24DE-T Cams 30+whp increase using factory valve train." You should check it out.

Re: newb here - intro and a few ka24de ?'s

Yea there are quite a few companies that are making cams for the KA now.

http://jimwolftechnology.com/customer_results.asp

I believe Crower is going to start making them soon too. The KA is being noticed by big companies now so parts are right around the corner. Greddy already makes quite a few parts so others will catch on. I like the boostdesigns intercooler kit. I'll probably get that when I get a little money. Its nice to see a new guy that actually knows some stuff and is into the KA. I take it thats your engine in your sig. Nice. What do you have so far? If we get a few more KA-T's on here, we can form a "Band of KA brothers,"lol.

Heheheheh I wish

That KA is not mine just showing my loving for the KA. If I had the money. I just got layed off so time for another job. I am just a research maniac and by researching for a couple years I kind of have all my thoughts set up for my car. Right now I am searching for another job and having a girlfriend isn't cheap. I'm not saying anything bad, I love her to death but when it comes down to it, it all cost money. I would love to create a KA group anytime. If we all research together, we will become smarter in the field of the KA engine. When I do get the money I will make a site with the step by step process of my project. Well I hope the project starts at the end of February if I get a job which I plan to get one soon again. I will probably try a Nissan dealer since I research all the time and I can be a great pusher when it comes to selling seeing that most of my jobs (being that I was a sales associate all the time) customers knew me. Well Nissanfanatic, I will team up as an extra brain until next year and I will add you as a buddy.

Like I said to other people, don't by overpriced import oil coolers when summitracing.com sells them cheaper (besides they are built for hot rods so they can take the heat of a ka).

PS

I definitely can't wait for the nice intake manifold that boostdesigns is creating. Less custom work for all of us.
