Re: Best P2P File Sharing Program?

I use Edonkey and it's a very excellent program ..

You have to add servers to it and you will find a lot

of things ..

The name of the program is EDONKEY2000 .

I use also ARES 1.8 and it's too fast .

Re: Best P2P File Sharing Program?

I must be special, because adaware scans nightly and I always have no new spyware objects.

Just call me lucky i guess.

Re: Best P2P File Sharing Program?

I use Bittorrent (Azureus client) chiefly, using www.lokitorrent.com as my primary torrent site. When I can't find something there, however, I use eDonkey2000...the Razorback server has zillions of files, and I can almost always find super obscure stuff on it (though it usually takes a while to get that stuff).

What frustrates me about Shareaza is the fact that you have to wait a while for the whole file to download. It's very frustrating...

Don't you have to do that with any download?

Re: Best P2P File Sharing Program?

i think he might be talking about a preview feature. these are very helpfull for decietfully named videos. it sucks when you wait a while for a movie to download and it turns out to be something else.

Re: Best P2P File Sharing Program?

I've always been a fan of Imesh, but as the riaa stepped in, it got FULL of messed up songs, etc. It also has a few spyware attached to it, but if you know how to get rid of it, its no biggie. Limewire was another one I've had before, and it wasn't as advanced as Imesh. Right now, the other one I'm using is WinMX. It's not bad, it just needs some more ppl on there to join. It's got a totally different interface, but it's about the same as limewire, in my opnion. I've also had bearshare in the past. That one didnt last long... (comp crashed, and never downloaded it again.) My hubby preferred it, I didn't.

I use Limewire (got it 3 days ago and love it). I've tried using Kazaa like 5 times before, but I still don't know how to search for stuff and download. Its way too complicated.

I just finished downloading "The Italian Job" off the web...720mb and took 2 days. Not bad, considering the file size and my transfer rate of 11kbps. It has excellent quality too.

BTW, does anyone know how to open .avi or .asf files?? I can't play these movies on Win Media Player. Help? Or is it just a corrupted file from Limewire?

You can get Direct Connect from http://www.neo-modus.com

I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Re: Best P2P File Sharing Program?

I remember direct connect, I had it when Napster was the shit. Downloaded my first p2p porno with it, hahaha.

I used bearshare, I downloaded an 8mb slipknot song in 30 seconds. Faster than I've ever got on anyother program, including kazaa lite, i hated that, it NEVER worked, and NEVER found what i was looking for and it NEVER downloaded what i did find.
