I wouldn't spend the extra on the synthetic. My 90 Camry used regular oil throughout it's life and never burned at all. Even at 189,000 when I finally got rid of it, (because the body was giving out from New England salt) it would go an entire oil change (4000 miles) without needing to add any.
I used regular 10-30 up until 100,000, then went to 10-40 for the rest of it's life. What an excellent car that was. |
