Re: Is it just me? or did he miss the jump by miles?

I love these guys that don't wear any protective gear. It takes 2 seconds to put on, and me & my buddies actually look pretty cool riding around with shin guards and gloves.

Anyways, after years of riding ubran/freestyle/trials, I can assure you that concrete hurts and when riding any type of bike in an urban environment, it is the worst idea to ride around with nothing on, especially if you're trying to ride a 1/4 pipe. Kid got exactly what he deserved.

Re: Is it just me? or did he miss the jump by miles?

A helmet actually would have helped cause since it sticks out in the front a little, it might have hit there instead of a full face impact...ya know, especially the one's withe visors

Lets see, broken nose, broken arm, concusion, lost a tooth, and probably ended up going into shock before he got to a hospital. And he wasnt wearing a helment why?

No shit Sherlock!

j/k

- That's what I meant, a full-faced helmet that downhillers wear (like in the "Kranked" video series - seen it? It's awesome). You're right about those pussy single-use plastic/styrofoam helmets - they only protect the noggin - not good if you're trying to get airborn.

It would be so much worse if he had braces. Just imagine, metal right in the lip...ooo boy......

What was laying on the ground? I used to ride flatland and i've never seen anything nearly as gruesome as that! i shuddered when i saw that.

Re: Is it just me? or did he miss the jump by miles?

I don't even see where he was trying to go? There was meters of quarter pipe on either side of that door...

Just watching the guy afterwards I immediatly knew the exact feeling (not the whole tooth/jaw part) - half fainting, half puking, all you can do is stand there bent over, mouth open, and watch the blood...
