That bushing is located very close to the Throttle Body. There may be a cover over the whole thing to make it pretty, but you should be able to see it without moving anything.

If the bushing is bad, it will cause shifting problems. If it's good, we'll need to look elsewhere for the cause of your problem.

Well, the original one was made of plastic, that one disintegrates then the cable flops around in the lever. The new bronze one lasts forever.

oh by the way...it already had the metal one in. now the car is basically beat to hell!!! i think im just gonna go out and get a 05' navigater. i wish one of you guys who knew your stuff lived here in NY to help me out cause i love this car but theres something seriously wrong with it. could it be electrical? i just realized...the electrical is effed up! i had to turn the back interior lights to the on position cause on the off position...the freakin radio comes on!!! theres a couple other things that are weird with the electrical. i dont know that stuff at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any suggestions before i get rid of this demon car?
