Re: Radar
My overall opinion with radar detectors is that any decent one(which there are probably around 10) will be fine. I ran for years on my $80 ebay cobra 8 or 9 band. It saved me plenty of times, but I got pulled over plenty of times. Bottom line, no radar detector makes you invincible. You can get the best out there and still get pulled over. So get a decent one for a good deal. If you can find any of the ones mentioned for a good deal on ebay, then do that. Be happy, but realize that you aren't invincible. Just my .02

Re: Radar
Is buying a good radar detector a good investment? Obviously, if it saves you just once when you are going real fast, it'll be worth the cash and points on your license rite?
I have about 200 dollars and im not sure whether to buy a good radar detector, i think the valentine 1 works good, Or should i buy a CAI?

Also for the person who asked about Ku band. Dont worry about that feture unless you plan on moving to Europe, as that is the only place it is used.
VG2 Cloaking is also very important. The V1 failed everytime with this test even though it says it has it. The X50 passed about 75 percent of the time, which is not perfect, but better than nothing at all. NOT ALL STATES ARE LEGAL!!! Make sure you check your DMV!!!!! Almost all states are, but i know there are 1 or 2 out there. |
