It was one of the 2004 releases and this is the only one I have seen. Unfortunatley it has no turbo and no stock bumpers. I was going to try and scatch build a stock front, but I dont think my skills are good enough yet.

Re: In-Progress: 93 Civic Coupe

It's been out for a while; I built one a while ago. You can find it on my website if interested. A stock option isn't possible unless you want to do some major mods.

I like the headlights on your '93 revell civic Tonio, nice modification, but I think it's a lot of work and courage to do that on a clear plastic (headlights). Is it hard?

Re: In-Progress: 93 Civic Coupe

Not really hard but having a multi-speed Dremel really helped out!!

Re: Re: Re: In-Progress: 93 Civic Coupe

I use a Tamiya Electric Handy Router, Is it good enough? I use it on my '93 Civic to grind the front and rear bumpers to to make it fit perfectly. Can you teach us Tonio?

Re: In-Progress: 93 Civic Coupe

I just clipped the stub/prong/stem with a nail clipper then with the tool on the slowest setting and the grinding bit installed, VERY carefully ground the remaining piece off until it looked like a regular lens then dipped it into a bit of Future floor polish and let it dry. I did the same for the rear lenses as well. I then added small pieces of Bare Metal Foil Ultra-Bright Chrome to the areas with the holes on the light bucket; that's it! Good luck with it!!

The rest of the thread is HERE.

Sorry for the hijack but hopefully the technique will help others' Civics as well

Don't have a "Future wax" will "Tamiya wax" work on those headlights?

I like the color scheme on the "air filters". Is that the stock "Exhaust Header"? looks kinda different.

Update

Heres another quick update for anyone thats been waiting. Well I messed up the back bumper and I had to order a replacement from Revell. I need to get some primer before I start to paint the body. I did some flocking on the interior and I think it looks pretty good for my first time. Also the engine bay is red, so of course the car is going to be red. I still have to add the battery wire, fuel line, and radiator hoses. Anyway here is the pics.
