Yup, I remember the days when ghetto kids would steal the hood ornaments off of Mercedes Benz cars and wear them as medallions. Apparently, Ghetto Kids have lowered their expectations for success.

Be patient.
Everyone knows how easily the parts from an Integra can be swapped onto a Civic.

Anyway how much do Hondata's cost and how much do the improve hp across the power band?
My friend and i went to a dyno..
i drive a base..
but he has a type S w/ V2 Intake, DC Race Header, stock exhaust and he was laying down 170whp.. omg u should hear it when VTEC kicks in..
VERY NOTICEABLE.. on the dyno chart.. there was like an instant 10-12whp jump
oh yea just for more accuracy it was 170whp on a Mustang dyno SAE corrected

Well swapping parts from the RSX onto the EP3 is easy enough, but for other civics, not really. And 3 years is a long while to wait

Good Point. A Civic with a K-Series and no power steering or air conditioning makes for a crappy car while driving through a tight parking lot on a hot day.

Is 170whp what most RSX TypeS's dyno at? That from what I've read on other forums.

Yeah, mid 170's-ish.....but there are underperformers (in the sixties) and freaks (in the eighties).

Re: Might get a RSX Type S the good/bad

By the way thanks for the people who responded and helped me out with good info. hmmm I'm sure newbies to VW's wish that a certain VW forum would be just as informing and helpful.
Anyway thanks I appriciate all the help. I priced an 03 TypeS at around 22 grand. I plan on saving 15K b/c I hate paying large car payments. Later.
