yeah that is shitty for real.. bad way of doing buisness - agreeing to sell something and then selling it to someone else.. i'll keep my eyes peeled for another, your best bet is prob to check out all the "for sale" or "classified" sections of all the different honda sites.. because i haven't seen many p13's specified as obd2/1996 on ebay in the past. you could also talk to a jdm reseller in your area to keep their eyes open or use their hookups with the scrapyards.

best of luck.

You know i really appreciate your help. i have searched everywhere. i actually emailed a dude from ebay who was selling another ecu, and he told me he has the one i am looking for. i have searched all the lude sites, even the search engines, junk yards online, and i have yet to go to a junk yard in person at this time. my motor has arrived today but the delivery dude is being an ass about it. long story. so this has definately been an experience. when i look for the ecu i put in the p13 obd2 and i only referred to it as the 1996 vtec lude cuz i figured that would have made it easier. i will just stick to the p13 obd 2, i have better luck there. Again, thanks a bunch. Even tho that dude flaked out, which really sucked, you still pointed me in the right direction.

hey it's great helping out where I can... I hope this latest problem with the delivery guy is the last of your swap problems. Unfortunatley for me - my swap was an absolute nightmare, if you search around these forums you'll probably be able to recount most of my horrors, sadly, it's not because it's a hard swap at all - it's because a lot of people in the automotive industry are absolute assholes who want to rip you off. I would have loved to work on my own swap myself - but my car never made it back to the island that i live on, so I had to sort of micromanage it from a far - utter nightmare - i'm getting chills just thinking about it again. the thing about swaps is the hidden costs - and that you can't blame on anyone - it's just not always as simple as a "new ecu/new jdm" theres stuff to go along with it - if you really want to do stuff right, including new timing belts, waterpump, etc not to mention all the other stuff that pops up along the way.

best of luck (:

The connectors ~ the difference in OBD1 and OBD2 (physically, on the outside) are the pin connectors. They are shaped differently.
