I let my wife pick the colors and they are final. I have reviewed several different ways and I have to agree with her.

Three homes, one yacht, and multiple cars, she hasn’t failed in a color combo in 31 years so I am happy to stand aside.

Which dealer did you ordered your DB9 through that you canceled?

Regarding the room, I am coming from an S2000 so the DB9 seems roomy.

I ordered the DB9 from Cole European in Walnut Creek, California.

I see you have a yacht. I have a 60 foot Sea Ray Sedan Bridge Motor Yacht and love it. We have a 14 foot dinghy and a Sea Doo Waverunner on the boat so we can get the kids on it for the day and they love to play with the toys in the water. Going on my boat is one of my most passionate things. What kind of yacht do you have?

Small would. I am geting my car from the same dealer.

I had a Navigator 56 which I had built in 2000. I had made some life style changes and wasn't using it so I sold it this year.

I would love to see your car after you get it. Do you ever go for a drive in the country? I live in Columbia and would like to hook up with you.

So you are dealing with Marty? He is my best buddy. I bought my Mercedes from Marty's dad at the Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton. How funny is that. I am sure we can find a way to hook up.

Also, I went to San Diego and looked one time at the Navigator 56. I loved how it looked but was concerned about the strength across the bow of the boat given how the deck was built. I took one out and sea trialed it and it was fine but I was still concerned. Pretty boat.

What a small world.

Yea, I like Marty a lot. I really like his candid nature about cars. No BS. I didn’t know his dad was in the biz. That is funny.

That’s good for the family that you could buy from one of them. What was Marty's take on you buying from his dad? I personaly owe Marty dinner some time soon, but that’s another story.

I will look forward to meeting you and seeing your beautiful car.

Are you having all the mods done before delivery? I hate to mention it, but that might be another couple of days.

Best wishes.

Funny you should ask about buying a car from his Dad. That is a long story given what has happened but I can tell you there is more of a rivalry that either of them will admit. They have a great relationship but are both very comptetive.

I am having all the mods done before I take delivery. I have spoken with the mechanic and he is going to work all night to get this done so I should have it in one day. I have all the woods parts spread out all over my dining room and matching up the wood tones and patterns to all the parts. Obviously, the family knows this room is off limits for now.

All the parts are in stock and at my house or the dealership so that part is covered.

I can't stop thinking about how gorgeous my DB9 was. The color combo was spectacular. I need my SL600 really badly.

I am still convincing myself I made the right choice and deep down I believe I did, but letting that DB9 go was not easy, not that I had a choice at this time.

Looking forward to meeting you and good luck on your DB9.

Take care and best wishes,

LovinSL600

Reading the posts, it dawned on me. Here we are at this age, acting like a couple of kids at Christmas time.

I have always said; when a man matures he dies. I guess were still good for a few years.

Don’t worry about your choice. Emotion plays a lot of tricks on us all. I am sure you thought this through and will be happy once your car arrives. One push on the go peddle and all doubts should be removed.

As I had mentioned earlier, I had a really bad experience with MB and will not go back. This has a lot to do with how I was treated by the factory. After buying 3 new cars from them I expected better. I actually wanted more of a sports car than the MB and was thinking of a Porsche TT. Considering all the money I was going to spend my wife insisted that I look at all comparable cars.

Since I wanted a sports car that would be comfortable over a 200-mile run I thought I would check out the Astons. The finish is what sold me. I sat in the owners new DB9 on Friday and didn’t want to go home. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to see your car. I think it was in the shop. Astons are stunning!!!

I also get a lot of joy out of just detailing my cars on the weekend, and what car could be better for this than an Aston.

I agree. Life is way to short and precious. I tend to be laid back but when it comes to my car, I am a little kid thinking about it all time.

Yes, we do have a lot more years to go!

Funny you were around sitting in the cars. I was there on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and yes, my car was in the shop as it was having electrical problems. They did get it fixed and delivered it to one lucky person last night.

DARN!
