I just came back from duty in japan I got a 2000 r 34 Skyline when i was there when i was coming back they just packed it up a shipped her home i bought the car out right there so i did not have to deregister it i took my japan title to the dmv and now my car is title in the us all it cost me was 100 bones for the registion in the great state of tennesse what anyone has told you if you are in the militry you do not have to goto motorplex or what ever they are called and yes i know i have the only 2000 r 34 in the us that is road leg. and i have been offerd a grip for it but all you peps out there grt it thought your thick head its not for sell and i have had buddys i was stanioned with ship other models of skyline back and did the same thing just when to dmv and got the title and tags and burned up the road so if you realy want your skyline for like 4,000 bones you need to just going into the milirty see we get shit done and it does cost and arm and a leg sometime but we dont have to wait for ever to burn up the us highways with our skylines but remember you need to have you title in hand when you bring here home so you dont have and titling probles how this has helped you out

People.... this is not an accurate display of people in the military. Like I said before, a high res picture of your car and you next to a road sign that is in tennesse and the cat gets owned. Not to add credit to his story, but there are rumors floating around of weird registration occuring in the backward southern states. However, I do agree with my3rd skyline about the picture. I am contemplating the military import thing myself. Hey, if he did it, more power to him, am if not, I guess we will not have been depressed about it.

It's frustrating when such strict regulations are in place for only certain vehicles. How is my neighbor's T-Bucket safer than ANY skyline? Who knows, but it's just something that we all have to deal with, albeit some more creative than others!

First, the military, or any shipping company, will not ship any Japanese car without it being deregistered. I had to deregister mine that I bought there before they would even set a ship date.

I'm sure the Tennesse DMV would actually register it, however US Customs would never let it out of the dock yard without it getting legalized through a RI.

And the pics, come on! I mean, the cut-and-paste plate is bad enough. But the GTR front end pic, GTR interior pic and then the 25 GT-T rear end pic?! Its just ridiculous!
