With a aftermarket upgrade turbo , just a turbo , some have pushed 400 HP. one STi is rated @ 640 HP in Cali. STi's are crazy rice rockets but not much for the whole feel as you get with a camaro.

i love camaros, but u gotta see the advantages... awd 4cylinders have run low 9's sometimes high 8's w/out slicks... that just can't hardly be done w/ rwd, but then again, u can't burn ur tire off ur rim w/ awd

Dude...that's not true , There is a world famous Vette' that runs a 4.9 second quarter mile. Hitting 149 MPH. It didn't even burn out on take off either. Let's see a STi do that. =D

I have the clip if anyone wants it.

that's bs, you would have to be well into 200mph to run a 4.9, if not 300

top fuel cars run mid/low 4's and their trap speed is usually around 330

the clip u saw my friend, had to have been an 1/8th mi track, either that, or ur lying

Like I said , I have the clip. The reason it's so quick is because it's solid accel. until 3.5 4.0 -ish then he starts laggin on pick up. I can send it to you or link it if you like.

1 : I am not your friend.

2 : Do not presume to call me a liar with out evidence. It makes you look foolish. I stated I would send the clip as solid proof to anyone who wished to see it. You don't need to be so harsh. You could have simply asked for it and left it at that instead of trying to slander me. Thanks though. Much appreciated.

look dude, u don't have to send me the clip, its bs, if a car was already going a 149mph at the start of the 1/4mi and kept a constant speed the whole time, at 4.9 seconds he has only traveled .2028051mi and a 1/4mi is .25mi fyi. so it is not even possible, like i said bs, and if u have a clip it is an 1/8mi track

I killed a stick Acura Legend V6 with my automatic Mazda 6i (4 banger ) =D. He had all these stickers everywhere , XR racing , AEM , Top Fuel ( What the f*** with top fuel sponsor stickers being on a Acura? what a joke. ) Anyways all I have on my car aftermarket is some seat covers , a shift knob and a injen cold air intake. which only offers 5hp idle -2k range and 8hp high 6K range. Anyways , he mashed on me with his fart cannon , I mashed my little trip-matic and bombed off. After so , I passed a base camaro , 4th gen style , no idea what was in it. He obviously seen me coming up fast because he tried to force me into the opposing lane to keep me from passing him , I went in the lane anyways and flew past at 105 mph =D Shouldn't do that so much on a 40mph limit road. But that was on thanksgiving day and this is Utah and most cops are mormons or family guys/gals so over 90% were at home and on call so I wasn't too worried about it.

Look 'dude' don't be a pissy pants about it. I didn't claim anything nor stated anything about it being fake/real whatever , I just said I had it. And it is possible. It seems like an awefully long 1/8 a mile then. But what do I know right ? I'm just a liar since you know me so well.

ok guys, I can see where this is going, there is no need to piss eachother off for something that trivial. It is not that hard to disagree with someone without throwing out a bunch of name calling. Not everyone is perfect, number and facts and everything like that get mixed up and tossed around all the time. Lets be civil here.

Also I did some research; I cannot find any car that has made 4.9 qtr mile passes on gasoline. (that includes 118 octane and lower) It’s kind of like the lingenfelter vette. advertised going low 8 seconds on street tires. There is no way it did, on slicks I can see it, but not on street tires (and I don’t consider the ET streets and DR as a street tire in this case, it was not sold with either of them.) There are sooo many other cars out there that make compareable or even more power than that vette that are built for pure drag racing and they could not do that on street tires. So how in the hell is that vette supposed to do it?
