I never adjusted mine after I got alignment done becaue I figured it would throw it off.
Any time you change the ride height you need to have the alginment checked, as it will throw the alginment off. Once you get the desired height with coilovers, have the car algined and leave it. If you get the car corner weighted, you really shouldn't mess with the ride height. Messing with the height of a corner weighted vehicle ruins the corner weighting. On a side note, corner weighting has to be done on scales and is best done @ the same time as an alginment, if possible.

Re: dropzone coilovers

Gottcha, But If you can't adjust your ride height after alignment what is the purpose of the coilovers? Are they just used to get the ride height you need then get alignment? Becasue I heard some springs don't lower to what you want then your screwed...

That can be one purpose of coilovers, to "dail in the ride height you want" versus being stuck with what the springs give (say you want a 2" drop and the springs are all 1.7 or 2.2" drops). Also, with Ground Control Coilovers you can choose custom spring rates, something you won't find with most companies.

The main benifit of coilovers though, especially handling wise, is that with coilovers you can corner weight the car. This is where the ride height on each corner is slightly adjusted to even out the weight distribution to a near 50/50 distribution. This helps with weight transfer and in turn handling. It must be done on scales.

Re: dropzone coilovers

i had dropzone coilovers on my car and they were alright. Kinda bouncy though, but i took em off and went back to OEM, and of course i had to replace the struts. But I reused my stock springs which are still good. But i still have my dropzones sitting in my room right now, just took em off last week. Im probably gonna sell em to someone around here for like 50$. I had a few offers for them and didnt take em. Now i wish i had.
