New G35 vs. '06 BMW 3 Anyone?

whoa... I voted thinking you said the M3, after I saw the results I knew something was up cause a newer Beemer M3 can kill a '04 G35, annd has 35 more HP than the '05

This is somewhat of an apples and oranges comparison as these cars attract two different buying groups.

Personally, I prefer to drive the M3, although it is so ugly I have to close my eyes until I open the door and sit inside. The only uglier cars are the 5 series and the 7 series BMW.

BMW more solid feel - you must meen a rougher ride.

I drove both, back to back, it was one or the other.

But then the BMW salesman pointed out the sales premium or WHATEVER they called it....... meaning, here is the price of your car. But because we are so snobby etc etc blah blah blah, you get to pay that PLUS 2 grand.

The 06 BMX 3 was already more expensive than the G.........

I put my G35 up against my son-in-law's 330 and it kicked his ass on all accounts His spends more time in the shop than being driven, the trim and body fit sucks, it rides harshly comparatively, and in handling and flat out acceleration, the Beemer couldn't keep up.

I have had Beemers in the past, but will not go back to them...

as much as i like the new g35, ima havta go with the bmw 3. i like that car ALOT. just my personal preference. id take the old g35 over the old bmw 3s anyday. i just really like what theyve done with the new 3

Now days infiniti seems to have more power than the bmws and they do a little better on the track. Bmws also have a over heating issue when you start driving it hard. But if you dont race and dont care about performance, id go for the bmw.

I prefer the shape of 06 G36 BMW. Gearbox and clutch takeup is not the same as in my Honda Accord. Seat is not as BMW sports seats. I want to drive 05 6speed, but the dealer did not order any....
