I ve also seen these little boxes that plug into the TPS and the harness plugs into it . they say its helps throttle response . I dont know if it doeswhat it claims to.Has anyone used one of these before? and how well do they work?

Use a multimeter and probe the green and black wires, positve goes to the green and the negative to the black. Try to set the voltage between .91-.98. You set the voltage by unscrewing the two screws on top of the TPS and moving it.
