Thanks for the link, Niclas! That site is really hard to navigate and to search for the items you want without the catalogue. I'll probably spend some time on it when I get the chance.

I've started work on the engine as well as the interior. Nothing but the wiring is glued on yet as I am still tinkering with it all.

To my detriment, I found out never to spray Alcad late at night without adequate lighting. The polished aluminum which I was aiming to achieve came up quite short. It ended up looking like a very light gunmetal in the morning! -sigh- I'm not ready to take it all off and start over again... To be honest, I'm really only disappointed in the Alcad for the engine block as everything else is passable. I just wished it was brighter there! I got frustrated with the color after a while so I decided to cover up the exhaust headers. I found some pictures where the headers and pipes were wrapped so I decided to wrap these guys up for a change. It turned out nice in my opinion. I used Tamiya masking tape for the wrappings and followed up with some Future to help glue it down and prime it for painting. I used a mixture of flat white and yellow to give it some character. I think a little bit of dirtying up would finish it off nicely.

Through test fitting the body over the interior, I realized that not much can be seen after the body is on. Makes me wonder how far I should go as nothing is really visible after I'm done with it.

Impatient me rushed it a bit. I'm fairly satisfied with the way its going so far. I haven't figured out what to do about the seatbelts just yet but it'll come to me.

I found it fun to just get creative with the interior. I think I may have overdone it but it sure was fun doing so!

I have to finish painting the brake rotors and that's it for painting. A quick rinse of the body and a bit of waxing and I'll be ready to piece the splitters and the intake parts together. Should be done within the next week.

Interior and engine bay looks spot on. Did the velocity stacks come with this kit?

I finished it this weekend. But didn't have time to go out and get some photos.

The header wraps are just thin strips of Tamiya tape with a good layer of Future on top to help 'glue' it in place and to help paint adhesion.

The velocity stacks are kit supplied.

A bit disappointed that most of the engine was covered up when the body parts were put on.

I think it looks perfect! I would feel the same about the body covering much of the engine after all that detailing.
