i wish they had hobby lobby in california. they probably have better kits that you can get at michaels . michaels has a 40% off coupon every sunday but old kits and no tamiya.

cool, i was there just this weekend before the sale started, and for the first time ever(me and bilson8or clear the shelves regularly with these sales) they had THREE tamiya yellow enzos, 2 xanavi skylines, 2 hayabusa kits, 2 hayabusa X1s, supras, celicas, 360 spiders, i cant wait

All I got was the Revell Enzo. They had Tamiya Supras, 360s, a Busa, S2K etc but.....not really my style. Or my pricerange, even 50% off. Besides, how many kits do I really need?

I got the following:

Revell Eclipse
Revell '93 Civic
Polar Lights '65 Coronet
AMT '69 Corvair (needed the top boot for a convertible I already have)
Trumpeter '63 Nova HT

The Revell kits are great. The Coronet is okay, it's prepainted. The Corvair engine might be interesting in the engine compartment of a Subaru , the Nova HT is a very detailed kit, like a Tamiya Enzo or Fujimi Enthusiast kit. Too friggin' bad they botched the roof shape...the top of the side glass/drip rail area is dead flat...it's supposed to have a very gentle arc... I don't know if it's the designer's fault (the drawing on the box looks correct), or if the master model was wrong, or if the tooling was simplified. But it's getting to be quite normal for Trumpeter and Polar Lights kits designed in the US to have some serious problems w/simple details that affect the look of the model. For Trumpeter prices, there should be NO excuses.

I picked up the 1/12 Revell/AG 1957 Chevy for my son. A Christmas present.
Then I picked up a Testors p51 airplane for my other son. A Christmas present.
I may go back and pick up the AMT Mustang since the yellow one hasn't got what I wanted.
