BTW it is crucial that the TV cable be adjusted properly or you can expect to be replacin your tranny within a month

a quick runthrough of how to adust it

release the TV (hold down the metal readjust tab at the engine end of the cable), move the slider until it stops against the fitting, then release the readjust tab. Now (most important) get in the car and press the accelerator to the floor
(TO THE FLOOR)
to set the cable. Check that the cable moves freely. Now go for a short road test.

Kickdown cable? I think those were used on the older trannys like the th350 or th200

where the cable snaps into the mounting bracket, there's a half moon shaped button that you push in to adjust the tention on the cable.
