Re: I hate o2 sensors!!!!!!!!

Well, for some weird reason, my new one is working now. Must have had to burn off all the old stuff, cause after a couple of days my check engine light stopped coming on.

Re: I hate o2 sensors!!!!!!!!

instead of just replacin the sensor you should run the diagnostic tests. The code just tells you what circuit has a out of ordinary reading, not if a sensor has failed.

Re: I hate o2 sensors!!!!!!!!

i know that im bringing up a dead thread but i have been having some problems. i changed my plugs and wires and now it bubbles. the cel only comes on when i decelerate in gear to a lower speed. i can reset the ecu and it works till the cel comes on again. im thinking that my o2 sensor is fine but i dont know maybe not before the plugs i had a quiet bubble now its loud and im loosing huge amounts of gas mileage and it smells like gas when i get out of the car. any ideas? how would i rewire the whole 02 sensor circut. 4g4d maybe you could help me we both live in the boise area.

Re: I hate o2 sensors!!!!!!!!

also when changing o2 sensors DONT touch the end of the sensor the grease on your fingers will create hot spots on the sensor and cause it to go bad quickly...same concept as a light bulb.
