um no it's not...
they can scream, they have talent with their guitars, their drummer is amazing, they actually know how to write and put together a song. does Good Charlotte or Simple Plan know how to do that? no. they whine and piss about how they're just a kid or about the rich and the famous. SOTY sound nothing like any of the other bands listed in this thread.

Punk just isn't.... punk anymore.
Punk is Blood Brothers, Tsunami Bomb, Dead Kennedys, The Locusts, etc. Not this stuff today... Not very rebellious. Just a lot of pent up angst.

8th Grade band kids know how to play their instruments... but we don't call that talent.
Writing a song... takes some work, I'll give it that. It's awesome if you like em, but the word talent is being thrown around too much. Talent would imply that they possess some uncommon level of skill. Which they don't.
