Re: 00+ celica owners, whats your max speed? or 1/4 time?

well i have seen very high 14's stock GTS 6spd runs but 14.4 stock is a little out there
you never know it could happen
gts are pretty light wut ~2500 something lbs and 180hp
not a bad combo

Re: 00+ celica owners, whats your max speed? or 1/4 time?

im sure one could break into 14's, like 14.9 with some lightening (i.e. seats gone and no spare) and a very skilled driver, im not doubting potential, but that post on car domain, you dont know if its stock or not, but thats not bone stock, ive even seen gt-s stocks hit low 16's, its all driver

My GT-S is stock. My best is 14.7 @ 95.98mph. I've also ran a 14.8 and 14.9. High 14's are very possible for a stock GT-S. It's been done over and over again. Check out newcelica.org sometime. They have a 1/4 mile database with links to slips for each run.

*Edit- BTW, this was with full interior, no spare.

Re: 00+ celica owners, whats your max speed? or 1/4 time?

meh, either thers just been some SHITTY driver at sears point, or you all are lying , meh i could see high 14's considering an srt-4 hits low -mid 14's and a 2g DSM hittin mid /low 13's w 210 HP....but its all cuz the weight, ive driven a 01gt-s and the tourque sucks ...if it had a heathyer supply of tourqe it would be soo much better

Most GT-S drivers suck ass... you CANNOT fall out of lift on the 1-2 shift or you will NOT run good times. It takes lots of practice to do. There are a few N/A GT-S's in the 13's. One guy ran 13.740 with drag radials, AEM Intake, and an Apex'i PowerFC.

dude a first generation 3000gt VR4 runs low 14s high 13's. And about a celica gt-s running a 14.4 stock that is some bull man. those cars are mid to low 15's cars maybe a 14.9 but that with a very experienced driver. yea your cars are light a little more than 2500lbs, but you guys only have 180 hp and a shitty torque of 130 which is very low. come on guys come back to reality. man i cant wait to race a gt-s.
