On a side note of what I forgot to say earlier, if you can't get a twin screw to fit under the hood, go with a turbocharger over a centrifugal supercharger. A centrifugal supercharger works close to the way a turbo does, but is belt driven instead of exhaust gas driven. The turbo will respond in about the same way as a centrifugal supercharger, but take less power to drive and should give you more boost.
i disagree. a turbo will be quite a bit more expensive, as well as harder to tune. for a turbo, fuel injection is necessary, and i would recomend it for a supercharger as well, but if u look at the newest HotRod magazine, it can be done with a carb. the problem wiith turbos is u would have to custom fabricate everything. and u can get the same amount of boost out of a supercharger, plus throttle response will be much better.

but with your car in its current state, i think your best bet would be nitrous

I agree with the nitrous, but the thing is, it seems like a pretty harsh incrase at a sudden time...and it probably wont be used a lot. On the other hand, if I were to go with the Supercharger, it would be a power increase at all times without having the trouble of the nitrous and refilling bottles. By the way, how much can you use one of those bottles, and how much does it cost to be refilled?

I think for now I am going to get some new heads on it (I've been looking through all of Edelbrock's stuff, and I haven't been able to find any for my car), then I will get a new exhaust system, then new carberator, possibly new cams and intake, then we'll see about the supercharger and nitrous. Thanks for everything!

nitrous bottles are good for 10-15 quarter mile runs, but i have no idea how much they are to fill. use smething like a 150 hp shot, that will give u good power and wont damage the engine

Well, I figured it all out....
I took the corvette into the shop today to check on the oil leaks, and they tell me I need a new engine!? Something about blow by and bad oil leaks that are unfixiable...

So, I took the corvette down to the local speed shop, and got them to give me an estimate on a new engine. They will build me a 383 (or 385, I can't remember which he said), but it will have over 450HP! I've decided that's just about plenty for my car, and I'm not going to worry about the supercharger or Nitrous. He said that with the engine, it will easily run a 10 second 1/4 mile! It's going to have a holley, and all the works put on it. Now I really can't wait to get down to Orlando with this car! Thanks for all your help!
